A small turn out today, I think the shit weather played a small part in that though!
Stockcars were out to play, Hazel sporting his new 2nz number on his stockcar, but one would think that it has cursed him, had a pretty stink day, not getting his usual results, still kept it circulating though... Just! Rangi debuted his stockcar, he is peddling the ex 10m,72g Slick chassis. Got rolled in the first race, but came back in the 2nd and 3rd races to stir. A no show for race four, teething problems. Howard was trying a new gear set, god that thing was fast in a straight line, just gotta get it to go around the corners and it will be untouchable. Slick had a good day, two wins and two 2nd's leaves him top on points going into the final raceday of the winter series. He walled and rolled Howard twice, and rollled Callum too after Callums attack on Slick went bad! Callums car was a little worse for wear after last weekends NZ's, but still was able to mix it up. Jono had a better meeting than last, pulled out a sub 6 second lap. Just need to get rid of those hoosiers and it'll hook up mean! lol. Mike was flying under the radar today, he was consistently at the pointy end of the field, and has a chance of taking out the winter series. One to watch!
Streetstocks were bashing and crashing as usual. The points race for them is ever so close. the final meeting will be a showdown!! Slick had his 2nz car flying, bagging a couple of wins. Hazel also on pace getting two wins, although Im not sure if that body will take much more abuse! Mike Shanks had his hq wagon cranked up, carrying alot of pace, and handling good. Pity he missed a round of the winter series, because he would be a top three contender for sure. Rangi and his monaro were going good, although was very hard to see, especially when there is two black hq's on the track! Ryan and Swanie both broke there personal best lap times today, and both were dishing out the hits hard! Callum was stirring today, hitting anything that moved on the track, made you think twice before passing him!
Mike was the only touring car to front up today, so scored maximum points which puts him right back in contention to have a crack at the winter series.
Next meeting is 18th October - see you there!
